Message from the Founder
My father has battled a weight problem for
a long time, being more than 100 pounds overweight for years at
a time. Eventually he was diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy, a type of nerve damage that occurs due to prolonged
elevated blood sugar levels. Open wounds, infection and
possible limb loss can result. Diabetic neuropathy results in
pain and numbness in the limbs. It can affect the
function of the digestive system, urinary tract, blood vessels
and heart. There is no cure for diabetic neuropathy.
Changes in diet and lifestyle must be made to slow the
progression of the condition. Exercise is essential to
recovery.
His condition became absolutely critical
when he was immobilized, for other health reasons, which
prevented him from getting proper exercise. This from a
man who was regularly using an exercise bike for 2 to 3 hours
per day, in spite of his being overweight. An already
serious weight problem became an extremely serious one.
Finding an exercise method compatible with
a substantial level of obesity is not an easy problem to solve.
Running, cycling and even walking can all have damaging effects
on the body's joints, as well as any point of impact as the
person attempts to exercise. At the time, my father could only
stand up for a few minutes at a time.
Vibration therapy solved the problem. There
is no impact at all, and treatment can begin in a number of
positions, including sitting on a chair with one's feet on the
vibration platform. Thanks to vibration therapy, my father was
able to stand on the platform for longer and longer periods of
time. After weeks of treatment, he was able to walk again, but
the story doesn't end there.
Most vibration machines are not made for
people much above 200 pounds. Because my father was often above
300 pounds, most machines were neither effective in that weight
range, nor were they built to last for years with everyday use.
He burned the motors out in approximately twelve machines
and became frustrated dealing with unsympathetic manufacturers.
These factors led me to research
manufacturing a superior vibration therapy machine - one with
the components to deliver effective treatment to a person
ranging in weight from a small statured adult to someone well
above 6 feet tall, and weighing more than 400 pounds. I went a
step further and developed a machine suitable to both home
users and commercial applications - for use in gyms and other
high throughput environments.
The vibration machine I offer to you, the
GVM, is the one my father swears by. While still
fighting an eating disorder, he has used the machine
successfully to keep his weight under control. He uses it four
times per day, for 10 minutes at a time - at the 25 Hz setting.
I am proud to offer the Good Vibrations 4 Life
GVM to you. It is an attractive, powerful and long
lasting vibration machine you can be sure to find success
with.
Sincerely,
Jason Larson
